The Forever Home

As the majority dream of the standard two storey property, the trusty bungalow seems to get put at the side lines, without a thought. Although, when it comes down to it, it truly is a great forever home.

Can you imagine, finding your dream home… and never having to move again?! Living on one level provides just that. I will prove to you, while I take you round this greatly impressive property, just why this the ideal home.

We all love to make an entrance (maybe that’s just me…), and this house does just that. Begin by walking though the amazing double jade-green timber doorway, into a welcoming hallway. The whole left side of the downstairs is your living quarters.

Firstly this spacious lounge with wood-burning stove. I love the style in this room, the colours used are versatile year round, fresh enough for summer to feel bright and airy. Yet, dim the lights on dark nights, chuck a log in the wood-burning stove and you have the ultimate cosy winter feel.

To the rear of the house you will find an open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area. Personally I have always been a great fan of white and woods, a clean and classic scheme. The calm decor throughout allows each open plan section flow peacefully to the other. Do I see the perfect entertaining space?

If your family is anything like mine, we spend every waking moment in the kitchen or the lounge. With this home, the whole family can be within one space (no one sneaking off to another room to catch the last of the golf.)

Opposite to this, you will find two sizable bedrooms, both with vast windows allowing immense amounts of daylight to seep in.

With a bungalow having two bedrooms downstairs it provides you with the ability to only use one level, depending on your needs, before even stepping upstairs! But with this property, we have an additional spacious two bedrooms on the first floor, with a shower room!

This may not be the master suite but it sure is the most impressive. The room is vast with a great ceiling height – hard to find in a converted bungalow – met with the french balcony to open up further. With views over the countryside, and a few very cute deer (believe me I saw them!) I would be sure to ‘nick’ this room before anyone else.

If you’re not already convinced, take a step outside. To the rear of the garden you will find the timber built office building. This is great size, fit with WiFi and light, perfect for working from home or even sleeping in law’s when they visit!
